Dr. Jeff Dulaney is President, CEO, and Founder of LSP Technologies. He has more than 20 years’ experience in high-energy laser development, particularly in system designs for laser peening, laser bond inspection, and laser mine neutralization.  Jeff directed the development of the original prototype laser peening system at Battelle Columbus Laboratories in 1987, a production laser peening system for the Air Force the 1990s, and a YAG-based, mobile laser-cleaning system. He holds numerous patents and publications. Dr. Dulaney earned his Bachelor’s degree in physics from Miami (Ohio) University and his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mark O’Loughlin is LSP Technologies’ CTO. With 20-plus years’ experience with high energy lasers, he developed and implemented the control systems for LSPT’s laser peening systems. A former Battelle employee, Mark joined LSPT in 1997 after consulting for the company following its inception. His areas of expertise include control, robotic, and imaging systems. He holds several current and pending patents in controls and laser peening. Mark earned a Bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from The Ohio State University.

David Lahrman is Director of Business Development for LSPT. He helped in developing laser peening for aircraft components and now leads efforts to market the technology for a broad range of industrial applications. Prior to joining LSPT in 1999, David worked for GE Aircraft Engines and Battelle Columbus Laboratories. He holds numerous patents and has authored more than 25 technical articles. David earned a Bachelor’s degree in material science and engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Master’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Illinois.


Keith Glover

Keith Glover is the Engineering, Research, and Development Group Manager for LSP Technologies.  He is responsible for the development of new laser systems and process as well as improvements to the existing systems.  Keith has more than 10 years of industrial design and management experience including patented work in controls and automation.  Prior to joining LSP Technologies in 2008, he held several positions with Emhart Teknologies where he was responsible for the design of automated fastening systems primarily for the automotive industry.  Keith earned his Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Purdue University.

Rich Tenaglia is Development Manager at LSPT. He has more than thirty years’ experience as a process metallurgist developing innovative metals processing technologies. At LSPT, Mr. Tenaglia is leading efforts involving the commercialization of LSPT’s LaserPeen® process for new applications in the aerospace, automotive, medical device, and industrial machinery industries. Mr. Tenaglia earned a Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dayton.

Dr. Allan H Clauer

Dr. Clauer is Chief Metallurgist of LSP Technologies, and was one of the original developers of laser shock peening (LSP). He worked at Battelle Memorial Institute from 1960 to 1994, joining LSP Technologies in 1995. He has extensive experience in laser shock processing, being the lead investigator in the many investigations defining the fundamental mechanisms of LSP and the important in-material effects of this process. Dr. Clauer has played a leading role in the application of laser shock peening to gas turbine engine components, automotive parts, and others. Dr. Clauer holds B.S. and M.S. Degrees from the University of Wisconsin in Metallurgical Engineering, and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Metallurgical Engineering. He is a Fellow of ASM International. Dr. Clauer has over 90 technical publications and holds a number of patents, with numerous others pending, in laser shock peening.

Dr. Sokol is Director of Research for LSPT. He leads an advanced design team developing and implementing improvements in laser peening systems that result in improved efficiency and effectiveness. David is also investigating new diagnostics that improve the reliability of laser peening. He joined LSPT in 1995 and holds a number of current and pending patents. David was a researcher whose work included development of high energy lasers and testing of high power laser-material effects. He received his Ph.D. in atomic physics from the University of Pittsburgh.

Brian L Brown
Quality Manager

Brian Brown is Quality Manager for LSPT. He has more than 14 years’ experience with manufacturing process and quality improvement. He manages the LSPT quality management system in conformance with AS9100 for aerospace requirements. Brian also works with LSPT program managers to facilitate process validation and development. He joined LSPT in 2005 after holding several positions with Techneglas, Inc. where he was instrumental with implementing their ISO 9001 quality system and improving manufacturing process capabilities. Brian earned a Bachelor’s degree in ceramic engineering from The Ohio State University.

Steven E Dykes

Steve Dykes is responsible for all production operations at LSP Technologies. Steve joined LSPT at the company’s inception in 1995 and has been involved with the design, construction, and implementation of all LSPT laser systems and related facilities expansion.  Steve oversees all daily production aspects of LSPT’s LaserPeen® processing operations. Steve also serves as LSPT’s safety officer.  Steve earned his Bachelor’s degree from Miami (Ohio) University and his Master’s degree from the University of Iowa.
